All conference recognition

Darryl Williams, a 2017 graduate of Chetek-Weyerhaeuser High School, was one of 10 Winona State Warriors selected to All-Conference teams by the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.  Williams earned First Team All-Conference honors after a senior season in which he led Winona State in total receiving yards (445), longest single reception (44), and average receiving yards per game (40.45). Williams also had the most catches in the WSU receiving corps, hauling in 30 passes, and finished the season with a punt return average of 11.91 yards per return and had one return for a touchdown. Fellow Heart O’North alum and Bloomer native Payton Dachel also was named to the First Team All-Conference as an offensive lineman. Dachel anchored a Winona State line that helped the Warriors rack up 1,666 rushing yards as a team. Dachel was named the 2022 WSU Preseason Player-to-Watch by the NSIC in the preseason coachs’ poll.
