Picture-perfect weather helped attendance bounce back this year at the 31st annual Fishy Four Run/Walk on Saturday, July 6, as 974 locals and visitors alike participated in the annual Liberty Fest event.

Although no new course records were set at this year’s race, Bailey Wilson, of New Richmond, repeated as the winner of the men’s four-mile race, in a time of 22:14—five seconds faster than his time at last year’s race. Dan Lau (22:29), of Eau Claire, finished in second place, while Eddie Carlson (23:13), of St. Paul, Minn., took third in the male division.

Karly Brautigam, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was the female winner in the 2019 Fishy Four, in a time of 25:50. Karen Swanson (26:20), of Chippewa Falls took second place in the female division, and Stephanie Cloutier (26:35), of Eleva, was third.

In the kids’ half-mile race, the top overall winner and first female to cross the finish line was Celia Gentile (2:06), followed by Eloise Anderson (2:12) and Alexis Ryan (2:23). Jude Poppe (2:10) was first overall for the boys for the second consecutive year, while Masen Donohoo (2:16) was second and Carson Ramis (2:17) was third in the boys’ division, respectively.

All proceeds from the Fishy Four were donated to the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Scholarship Foundation.

Due to space constraints, only the top three winners of each age group are included. A complete list of the results can be found by visiting www.pttiming.com or the Chetek Fishy Four Facebook page. The online results only included the timed runners and the kids’ race. It did not include the walkers. Times below were taken directly from the links posted on the Prime Time Timing website, according to age groups.
