The Chetek Hydroflites Water Ski Show Team announced that they will be hosting their new ski show, “Hydroflites Through the Years” this Sunday, June 28, as well as during Chetek’s Liberty Fest weekend.

“We’ve heard from our loyal fans that they want to see the Hydroflites do a show with cool costumes and some of our signature acts. Well, we thought about it and decided that we could do that! If you’ve been to our shows over the last 10 years, you are going to recognize some of these acts,” explained Hydroflites President Janene Haselhuhn.

The junior team preshow performs at 5:30 p.m. and their main performance will start at 7 p.m. on June 28.

Along with unveiling their new show this weekend, the ski team also revealed they will host three ski shows during the annual Liberty Fest weekend. Upcoming shows will be on Friday, July 3; Saturday, July 4; and Sunday, July 5. All three shows will feature the junior team preshow at 5:30 p.m., and the main show at 7 p.m.

Limited concessions—water, soda, candy and popcorn—will be available. There will also be Hydroflites apparel items available for purchase.

Spectators can view upcoming performances from the Chetek Hydroflites Aqua Stadium on Lake Chetek. There is tiered seating with social distancing measures in place, although attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs. Those who do not want to watch the performance from land can watch it from a boat or pontoon. Music and commentary are available on the radio station 103.1 FM, allowing the option to sit on the boat, watch, relax and listen to the performance on the radio.

Haselhuhn noted that the ski team understands that this is a challenging time and not everyone is comfortable going to the ski stadium to watch the live performances or make donations at these performances. However, anyone who would still like to support the Hydroflites can visit their website,, and use the “Donate” tab to make a tax-deductible donation to the local ski team.

Watch The Chetek Alert or the Hydroflites Facebook page for more information about the rest of the ski team’s summer schedule.
